People I'd like to meet, places I'd like to visit

Strange as it may sound... .people are more prone to believing in the effect those stars and planets millions of light years away cast on you... but I think otherwise....'beg to differ' in the conventional parlance....for me my life, my beliefs and the sum total of my achievements have been subject to this "People Effect"....the rub-off effect of the people I've been lucky enough to meet in my life....the values they've instilled into me and the vision they've imparted to me.Equally profound has been the impact places around have cast on me........not just Vaastu or Feng-Shui... but more above the magic and the mystery ......I call it the "Place Effect"

I like passionate people ..people who are passionate about food, about cars , about music ...about life itself.....People who have the ability to stare at Failure in the eye and assert "Look you may have got the better of me for the time being.. but...but..but .. I wish you better luck next time!!!...." Come what may, the innate self confidence and the desire to rise above the Tom-Dick and Harry... makes them surge ahead and surprise not just the world but themselves!!!!!

With the ability to laugh all the way to success, they have this infectious and equally enviable ability to whistle while at work...why not...after all they are giving their 100% .what more can you desire???????

They are not necessarily workaholics but then the hunger......the quest for excellence never lets them rest at peace !!! Constantly at loggerheads with the clock ......."Why does it have to tick away so fast enough and leave me with so less time to work ???????"...they are often found complaining !!

The are ones who script their rags -to- riches stories.... The Sabeer Bhatias and the Dhirubhai Ambanis of the world.... The entrepreneurial spirit doesn't come easy..."If you can watch the things you gave your life to broken ...and stoop and build them up with worn out tools..." That requires guts Man and they do have it in adequate measure !!!

They are the Michelangelos and the Walt Disneys ...who on being told that they have no talent for their work go on to become legends in their own right..

They are like my Sanju Bhaiya who on being denied admission to even Umesh Chandra College in Calcutta after his higher secondary exams went on become an alumnus on IIT-Kharagpur...

A starting capital of rupees 2 only often generates Return on Investment(ROIs) enough to establish industrial empires.... quite to the bafflement of finance managers ...

There are places which inspire too... from that 10ft by 8 ft glass chamber resplendent with light from those tiny neon lights.....with the colourful orchard in the background ,birds chirping away melodious tunes and that 14 inch LCD armed with Internet Explorer infront of your pupils to capure all the attention... you don't feel the heat of working 24*7 .......Did anyone say "Work is play ?"

I like those lofty chambers ...the erstwhile World Trade Centres and the Leaning Towers of the Pisas... challenging the supremacy of the skies and forcing it to acknowledge their presence!!!!

Equally inspiring is that Tata Centre on 43A , Jawaharlal Nehru Road that bugs me continously to attain standards to be worthy enough to have a chamber for myself in it........

Those dozens of tiny virgin islands where in the company of nature's serenity...........you are not alone but in solitude.... Even the tsunamis would be welcome amidst that tranquility!!!!!

These are the places I'd like to visit and memories of whom I'd like to capture in the camera of my heart ..............these are the people with whom I'd like to exhange glances, shake hands and wish "Happy Birthday" from the core of my heart!!!!!
